The Good Friday Appeal is a unique fundraising
activity that brings together people from all parts
of the community in a very special way. The
common goal is to raise money for The Royal
Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, and to ensure
that all children with life threatening illnesses
receive the best possible medical and clinical care.

The Appeal is a non-political, non- denominational
organisation that exists solely to financially support
the Royal Children’s’ Hospital Melbourne.

Meeting in Singapore

Its been a while since I posted, but I have been off to Singapore this month for a business trip to meet my work colleagues from Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, China, Singapore and USA. It was great to meet them, we had a fantastic team building exercise where we painted on a blank cavas I must say it was fantastic fun, I will dig out the pic and post it, and I work with a great team of characters who love to have fun and work of course. This was my first visit to Singapore. For those who have not been there, its a lovely clean place, no litter in sight, lots of shopping for those who want to (designer brands galore), a fabulous place to go out wining and dining. The weather hot and humid. All in all a great trip. Back to reality now!

Yes I have been making bears fantically in the meantime, I haven't dropped the ball there so too speak!!!!! Argghhhh yes its finals time in baseball here in Melbourne and we are sure loving it.

Putting the finishing touches to my lovely new design!!!!! Can't wait to finish it I am so proud!

Well it was back to work this week after the holiday break (11 days off), it took me the second day to get back into the swing, its amazing isn't it. Hahhhhahhhh back into it and goals to set for 2010. On the bear front hoping to produce some smaller designs and some more realistic critters, well thats my grand plan... Maybe even a Wombat, here's hoping I know they are quite different aren't they!!!!.....

Christmas Cheer and Best Wishes for the New Year

Well leading up to Christmas was very hectic, as it is for most, the school year came to an end for the kids with results and presentations, so did their respect sporting commitments, and our work functions as well as many of us trying to finish the year off on a clean slate and getting their last minute finances in place. I even got my beloved annual Christmas Cake made much later this year than I wished, it was still very yummy indeed.

After much anticipation, finally the big day (Christmas Day and Santa) arrived and we celebrated with family and friends, receiving many gifts of cheer, many cheerful stories, and way too much to eat.

We caught up with my family on Boxing Day which is always a memorable occasion thanks to my Cousin and his Partner for hosting.

We also fitted in some shopping yesterday making the most of the end of Christmas sales and spending some gifted money.

Today we all kicked back with less running around and tried to get back to normal in readiness for the New Year. Still on holidays for another week or so, I had better make the most of it, with getting in some bear making, which will be the first time in a while since Christmas, just tiring and hectic.

I wish you all the best for the New Year and hope to share some memorable occasions with you all.

Hugs to you all

Karen.
